What personal data do we collect and why
If you contact rediSoft by email either through this website or by any contact option
on programs made by rediSoft the following personal details are collected:
- Your name
- Your email address
If using the online contact form at redisoft.uk/contact the additional details are collected:
- Your IP Address
- Your Browser user agent
- Your Country code. E.G. (RU, DE, GB)
IP Address, Browser user agent and Country code are collected to help fight spam and are only
saved to the rediSoft server if identified as spam.
All personal details are stored encrypted on the rediSoft server. All emails are
deleted from the server after any problem has been solved or any conversation has ended.
Commenting on posts the following personal details are collected:
- Your username (this will be public)
- Your password
- Your email address
Your password and email address are stored encrypted on the rediSoft server.
Visiting or Downloading from rediSoft
When visiting no information is gathered unless your activity is detected in some way as
malicious, hacking etc. in which case at least IP address and geographic location are recorded.
When downloading from redisoft.uk your IP address is recorded. This information can prevent users
or bots taking up server bandwidth by constantly downloading from rediSoft. These IP addresses
are stored encrypted on the rediSoft server and deleted every 3 months.
Web browser cookies
The cookies used:

No cookies are stored if you comment on a post even if the “Remember Me” or “Save my name” options are checked.

Information contained in bug reports
HostsCK comes with an option to email with any problems or bugs there may be with HostsCK.
Before you can send an email you will be asked if you would like to provide some information
about your computer to help in rectifying bugs. You have complete control on whether to send
all, some or none of this information to rediSoft.
As a follow up to a bug report rediSoft may provide a link to one of it’s programs that can read
the error log that HostsCK creates. When run on your computer the program will prepare the
log so that it can be sent to rediSoft for analysis.
You will be able to see the information contained in the report before sending it and choose
whether to send it or not.
How we use your information
- If emailing rediSoft your name and email are used for correspondence only.
- If contacting rediSoft regarding a bug report any information you choose to give is used to
help with fixing the bug and improving the program.
- Information collected when registering to post a comment on redisoft.uk is used to help
determine genuine people from attackers and spammers.
How we protect your information
All information collected, personal or otherwise, is encrypted to the rediSoft server.
Every effort is made to keep all information protected against unauthorized access.
redisoft.uk uses an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected
with digital signatures.
Only the owner of redisoft.uk has access to any information stored on it’s server.
rediSoft does not share any information.
